Chinese New Year 2010 - Resort World, Sentosa

It was the 2nd day of the grand opening of Resort World Casino.

It was during Chinese New Year, so most visitors are Chinese (Chinese from all over the world).

The grand entrance of the casino, a sportcar awaiting everyone! to be won by jackpot!

It is indeed very crowded (people mountain people sea). The main color of interior decor was red as to celebrate the Chinese New Year 2010.

This counter is totally useless as we don't need ticket to enter a casino! (later on this counter is transformed into Information counter)

There were many many gigantic beautiful hanging lights all over the hall in the casino.

The regulation is that all Singaporean or Permanent Residents must pay a SGD100 as casino entry levy (per entry basis!). Looking at the long queue then you will realise that although this policy is to prevent the local from becoming addicted in gambling which will lead to severe social problem, but the locals are just too rich to pay the levy!
Another factor is, when ones are ready to gamble in casino they are ready with the hundreds or even thousands of dollars, this SGD100 is just small matter for those people.
Side by side with the Resort World Casino is the Universal Studio theme world. It was not opened for visitors yet during Chinese New Year. It was later on opened on 18 March.

The resort world hotel.

The fountain with dragon, dragon ball and phoenix. There must be some reason of fengshui in it.

The spades of poker, good idea as lamp post!

This is the place where winners from the casino can again spend their $$$

The lanterns-liked lighting in front of the Hard Rock Hotel is very cute.
