Las Vegas - Hoover Dam

Hoover Dam, built on the Colorado River, on the border of Nevada and Arizona, to produce hydroelectric power, to control flood, to supply water to agriculture, etc...

Now it also became a must-visit tourism place of Nevada.

Las Vegas - The Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon, known as one of the 7 nature wonders of the World

Tourists can either choose to drive to tour around the Grand Canyon, or to follow a one-day tour group either by a helicopter or a coach-bus.

It is always easier to travel with the one-day tour. Lunch is provided in the one of the few restaurants around the Hualapai Range. Convenient pick up and drop off of tourists from major hotels in Las Vegas Strip.

And the one-day tour always include other tourism place such as Hoover Dam. It's worth the price, with the coach driver being the tour guide as well.

A small group just arrived in a helicopter

The steep canyon was carved by the Colorado River for thousands of years as we can still see the river flowing through the canyon.

Guess it used to be a mining zone ages before.

These giant crows are waiting for the leftover food from the tourists.

I see more Asian tourists (especially Chinese of China) than American here! China is really contributing alot in USA's economy now.

Lunch with choices of Sandwiches, Indian BBQ, and Oriental rice are available at each Restaurants in the range. Tourists that came with tour can exchange their lunch with meal coupon at any point, but only once.

Look at the bright sun, clear blue sky, the average temperature there is 35-38C!! You don't get sweat here, as your sweat evaporated into steam as soon as it came out!

Most plants around Arizona here are cactus and short because of the dry land.

The landmark of the Hualapai range, the Eagle point. People think the shape of this mountain appeared like an eagle spanning its wings.

No idea what kind of plant it is. But it's really tall

But it's kinda boring tourism point here.
