Malacca

Location: Malacca

Nyonya Makko Restaurant

Location: Taman Melaka Raya

Nyonya Chendol - with thick gula malacca syrup and coconut milk,

Nyonya fish curry -

Nyonya 5 spices spring roll
Conclusion: NO 2nd VISIT TO THIS NYONYA RESTAURANT!!!

Popiah

Location: Jalan Bunga Raya

It's always long queue infront of this little stall. We have to queue for at least 45minutes that day to get our popiah ! Even cars passing by will find difficulty to miss the long queue at road side.

As the ingredients are limited, popiah usually sold out before 5pm. (stall opened only in the early afternoon)

Jonker 88 food stalls
Location: Jonker Street

One of the best Nyonya chendol in Malacca.

Nyonya laksa

Nyonya chicken curry mee

Soy sauce dried mee

Conclusion: Everything in here is good. It was like the best collection of Malacca delicacies, all available here, so that people don't have to travel far.
Tee Soon Long Chan Teo Chew Seafood Restaurant
Location: Jonker Street. (it is hiding in a very shaded corner of a narrow lane, so quiet along the lane, no people crossing by, compared to the next lane where crowds flooding the stalls along the Jonker Street )

Home-made beancurb with minced pork -- yummy, goes very good with white rice. Very teochew....
Never know that Teochew Cuisine serves any soft shell crabs, but this is the chef choice dish in this restaurant, must try.

TeoChew Spring Rolls, the moment I saw this, I insisted to order this. This is an almost extinct dish in Malaysia, this restaurant serves the spring rolls wrapped by web-liked pork lard (a thin web-liked fat layer obtained from under the skin of pig), which most other TeoChew restaurants do not.

Yam Dessert (芋泥) - When it was boiling hot, it tasted really smooth and silky, not too sweet, goes perfectly with the steamed pumpkin and ginko.

Mango

They even had yam dessert packaged in various serving sizes for take-away and home consumption.

Popiah again, at Jonker Street, this old uncle had been selling popiah since I was very young (at least 15yrs ago), still as good. But his temper not very good, haha.

Another one of the best Chendol in Malacca.

A wide collection of Coke from all over the world, no lack of limited editions also.
