A lady brought her kitten into Murdoch University Veterinary Hospital today for a vaccination today.
While the vet was examining the kitten physically, she had some brief chat with us.
She told us that she just bought this cute little Cream colored Burmese from a petshop a couple of weeks ago. The petshop has actually promised that any pets purchased from the shop are money-back guaranteed within the 1st 7 days as purchased.
And the lady was actually quite surprised and disappointed. She started to wonder what will happen to those pets that were rejected within 7days? which the most possible reason to reject them could be due to sickness, handicapped or some other problem. Would the rejected ones be put down? Throw into the rubbish bin??!! Or sold to other buyers again without telling the truth?
This is really a good point to ponder about on. Beat me, I have no idea what would happen to those poor little lives too. Those petshops are trading pets (more precisely, lives) like merchandise, like good, like toy... Those are living creatures! They also have feelings and can definitely be moving about!
Pet owners should be aware that the minute they had chosen the one particular animal to be their pet, the pet's life is then in their hands since. They should take good care of their pet, provide adequate medication whenever they are sick instead of dumping them on roadside...
money-back guaranteed? Imagine do you ever get a money-back guaranteed new born baby or a marriage as well? ridiculous....
