Winter Skiing @ Vivaldi Skii Resort

Vivaldi Ocean Park is the largest theme park+resort in South Korea which provides Skiing facilities in winter and waterpark in summer. 

There are also hotels, chalets, restaurants, shopping emporium, indoor swimming pool and sauna,  indoor games such as bowling, karaoke, movie cinema, archery, snookers, and etc. You can spend a few days in the resort without going out. 

The largest skii park in South Korea, there are actually 4 different lanes of skii path for players of different levels. 

Rental of skii equipment is available in the park.

The skii park is big enough to accomodate thousands of visitors without any worry.

We can always take a gondola ride to reach the peak. 

Look at how large the area is the resort, there are many blocks of hotel to cater visitors from all over the world.

Seongsan Ichubong - Jeju Island

Seongsan Ichubong (城山日出峰)， the famous landmark a.k.a sunrise peak in Jeju Island.

There are certain days in a year with certain time to see sunrise at peak of the mountain. 

The sunrise schedules are written down on this stone. 

The mountain used to be an erupting Volcano 5000years ago. But now, it's a "dead" volcano.

 In order to reach the mountain peak, we have to climb for about 500metres. 

It's not easy with the extreme weather in Jeju Island - strong windy and freezing cold. The wind almost blow my head off.

Canola Flower Farm Visit in Jeju Island

Jeju Island focused on Eco-tourism alot. Canola Farm visit is interesting for tourists who came from cities. 

Horse riding in Jeju Island

One of the activity to do when visiting Jeju Island of South Korea is Horse Riding.

Horses in Jeju Island are relatively shorter and smaller in size compared to those horses we saw for racing and endurance. 

They are about the height of a donkey or a pony, but slightly bigger in size. 

The experienced horse trainer will ensure your horse riding experience a safe and memorable one. 

The waiting cottage before we ride on the horses. 

The horses will bring tourists on their back and go one big round the farm, without leash, very leisurely.

Those horses are pretty stable and relax, they will not do anything to scare any tourist. 

Tourists are given a cowboy hat and a jacket to be dressed like a real cowboy so that each looks good on the phototaking later. 

This is the point where horse trainer will make all tourists stop at to take photo as memory. 

Jeju Island is generally not as cold as South Korea Mainland but there are always strong winds and rains. The winds are making everything flying away and freezing cold. 

Orange farm in Jeju Island

 Another activity to do when visiting the Jeju Island of South Korea is to visit a Mandarin Orange Farm. 

The breed of tangerine/ mandarin orange in Jeju Island here is unique and can only be found in this Island. Exporting the fresh orange out to another country is forbidden.

There are quite a number of orange farm in Jeju Island, all of them are of small range. Seems like family business to me. 

This is actually fake orange.... the farm owner tied it on the orange tree for photographing purpose for tourist as it is not the harvesting season of orange yet. 

Next to the farm is a shop selling all range of by-products of the Jeju Orange. Chocolates, chewable vitamins, tea bags, crackers, etc.
