Batam Trip 25 Sept 2010

Ferry trip with Batam Fast ferry from Harbour Front to Batam's Waterfront Harbour took us less than 2 hours.

There were shuttle bus transporting tourists from the Waterfront Harbour to the Harris Hotel which is less and 5 minutes driving distance from the harbour.

There were welcoming drink and dance awaiting tourist at the entrance of the hotel.

After checking in, we went to Nagoya Shopping Mall (largest shopping mall in Batam) by free shuttle provided by the hotel. The trip took us about 30mins.

Our 1st Indonesian lunch at Batam was at the Nagoya Shopping Mall. There were many choices of restaurants in the shopping mall. We had our lunch at the 2nd floor, a restaurant at a corner of the mall beside the cinema. Was attracted by the local cuisine served at reasonable price.

Fresh Coconut Juice

Ayam Penyet

Ikan Pepek

Pure Avocado Juice (Jus Alpukat)
Avocado is locally produced in Indonesia, so it's very cheaply available here.

The lunch only costs us less than RM20 for 3 dishes, 2 rice and 2 drinks.
